We went to the cabin to help take out the docks this weekend and Gretta got an impromptu first "haircut" (her bangs were hanging in her eyes)

She seemed happy with the results.

This is what happens when you happen to try going to the bathroom by yourself for once with an adventuresome toddler in the house......

Think she takes after her dad in any other way besides looks???

The search is over.......

We found a house!!! It is a 3 bdrm, 3 bath rambler style house with an unfinished basement.

The kitchen/living/dining area

Holy moly what will we do with all this counter and cupboard space?

A dining room, something we didn't have before!

Main bath

Gretta measuring in the basement, she has big plans!

We are so happy to have found something we love, we had our inspection today and everything looks great so if everything continues to go smoothly we are all set to move in a couple of weeks!

Master bedroom.

An added bonus, master bath!!

Party Time

Our friends, Jess and Beau, son, Devin, turned one this weekend so we headed to Gretta's first "party"! She got all decked out in her dress from Uncle Seth and Kim that she got for her birthday.

Party dress, party hat

Birthday boy Devin in his Viking's jersey and the kids playing "drums"

Time for cake!

Gretta enjoying one of Devin's birthday presents!

We also became Aunt and Uncle again! To another boy dog, this one's name is Clark and Meghan and Joel picked him up on Sunday. So we are providing daycare while we live with them.....:)

Had to pose the cousin's in the bath together.....I don't think either one of them was too sure of eachother! Gretta is enjoying him though and loves throwing the ball for him to fetch and likes petting his soft, fluffy fur!

So sweet! He is a mini-Goldendoodle and you can check out their blog for more stories and pictures, there is a link on the right side of our blog in our list "Sites of interest".

Labor Day Weekend and more

Over the long weekend we went for some big bike rides.

We also headed out to Wood Lake and Granite Falls for Josh's family reunion on his dad's side, where Gretta found apples and gobbled them up.

The old farmhouse of his grandparents...(I don't have the actual data in front of me so I'm trying to remember) It was a really cool site for pictures, of course I wish I would have taken more.....

The family
We enjoyed some good food, good company and lots of history about the family, which was really fun and interesting, we took a little driving tour of all the old sites where his grandparents, great-grandparents, etc lived.

Enjoying Meghan & Joel's backyard

State Fair

We took a time out this weekend from moving and went to the state fair with Seth and Kim, who were in town helping us get all our stuff into storage and up to Meghan and Joel's. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS weekend for the fair and for moving.

Gretta got her first taste of many things, cheese curds, elk burger, fried green tomatoes, corn fritters, pronto pup and here she is with a pail of Sweet Martha's Cookies....she really liked everything about the fair.

John Deere tractors!

Yep, its got a cup holder.

Seth and Kim....awwwwww....
Thanks guys!!

Had to pose in the digger with Gretta in control....

Seth and Josh got their honey sticks.....Kim and I were not sure what all the hype was about, but the boys were certainly happy.
