Our 2 year old Maggie....

Another wonderful year in the life of Miss Margaret Rachel. Or Maggie as we always pretty much always call her! She has grown up so much this year we can't even believe it! She imitates sister and mom and dad in words and actions, some good, some bad! She talks so much and is always looking for adventures! We can't believe what a whirlwind its been this past year and how much has changed in her life and ours! 

Obviously its Labor Day weekend as well, so technically we've been kind of celebrating all weekend with activities and we'll post about all that this week sometime, but for now you get a video of the year in pictures!

Painting and Hiking

Nope, its not Christmas! 

We just painted and rearranged! We plan to put up some trim in between the cream and brown to finish it off.

Josh's cousin Erik helped me when he stopped here on his bike tour! SO thankful to have help on this big room! Josh was on little girl duty, which is also a big help!

This is our bedroom before....and has been a little bit of a work in progress!

Back in May we painted the peacock blue wall and then got a new bed in June.

And this weekend I finally finished the rest of the walls in a light grey. So happy to be getting rid of all the cream walls in this house! Woohoo!

Then Sunday we went for a little hike to Mount Wanda

I couldn't decide if I liked this tree pic in black & white or color better so I'm showing both!

Maggie was about to walk away....oh well, all pictures can't be perfect!

The 32nd Birthday

The day before Josh's birthday we went to a classic car show downtown.

For Josh's birthday we visited the Jelly Belly factory which is only about 45 minutes away....

More Summer and Cleanin' Up!

Mostly we've been spending our time at the park or the pool the last couple weeks. So nothing TOO exciting but enjoying ourselves all the same!

Oh yes, Maggie and her phone. She fell asleep with it like a dolly one night.

And never trust a quiet room and 2 kids.

Mr. Tree Trimmer

Look at the tall tree with overhanging branches on to the pergola

and the nice dead vine growing up?! Kind of a mess!

Still needs the trimmings cleaned up but our yard waste can was full after some other smaller trees were trimmed. It opens it up a lot though!

Maggie was on sweeping duty for our big garage clean up....

We can now fit 2 cars in!! Yippee!! Oh and here's our new car that we got a few weeks ago too! Its a Honda Pilot and we love it!

Maggie in her high chair....we took the tray and wrap around stuff off so its more like a stool now. She was pretty happy she doesn't have to climb over those things to get into her chair now!

And lastly, the cheesiest smile I've seen in a while, but still so cute...hehehe!

Hiked our hearts out!

We saw probably the most of Yosemite we've seen on this trip and our friends Dave and Sarah helped us out by coming out to visit us! We had a lot of fun hiking around. While Maggie spent most of the time in the pack, Gretta, for the most part, was a trooper! She was tired a few times and got some rides on backs and shoulders!

We stayed on the northern side this time and started out in Hetch Hetchy

Then went down to the valley the next day

Had a little picnic by the Merced River

And yes Maggie fell asleep on Josh's shoulders...holding her hand out for balance

and slumped on his head for a second but woke up.

Pretty much words can't describe this place. Amazing doesn't even come close.

On their last day here we had to head up to Point Reyes to show off the beach of course.

Even though it was a little chilly....
