Visits and sledding

Uncle Joel and Auntie Meghan stopped by for dinner the other night, Gretta enjoyed getting beard tickles from Uncle Joel.

And playing with Clark of course!

We took Gretta sledding today for the first time......

The pictures are not showing her saying "NO" a lot, but we have a little video that does.....we think it was mostly because it was around nap time that we went! We'll just have to try again another time!

Snow! (a post by Gretta)

Ma-Ma and Da-Da took me shopping to get some boots so I can have fun in the snow!

Tested 'em outside with Da-Da

They kept my feet warm and toasty and they look pretty good too, huh?!

For now....

Gretta has found mittens quite fun to wear! Inside.

She loved decorating the tree!

The other morning we saw 5 deer in the woods in our backyard, then they went through our backyard into the neighbors and across the street.

More fun with mittens, this is what she did when we tried to get her to do thumbs UP.

Grandma Peg helps.

HUGS!!!

Here is a video of some dancing Gretta, she also is attempting to snap her fingers.....have to say, its pretty cute.

Thanksgiving recap

The spread....YUM.

Gretta got to sit in a big chair.

and a little chair that used to be Josh's

PIE! So delicious, thanks Melanie!

Taking a spin with Great-Grandma Ellie's walker

Grandpa Fred takes her for a real spin!

She put on a little show of excitement later in the evening when playing "hide the pen" with Grandpa Fred.

Helping Great-Aunt Melanie

Measuring how tall she is (32 inches)....glad it wasn't around the waist for the rest of us.

Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving Eve....

Well, we've been busy and wanted to post a quick one here before Thanksgiving Day, which there will be pictures from we're sure! We'll be spending it at Josh's parents house.

Unpacking boxes.....

We've been eating many wonderful meals in our dining room!! The table, chairs and hutches are from Josh's Aunt Mary. Painting, doing laundry, settling in....that's what else we've been up to these days. We're feeling more at home every day.

Gretta and Devin hanging out.

Giving Devin a ride.

Before bed.....wearing a sweatshirt. That is the latest funny story of what Gretta has been doing/imitating. Every time I get out a sweatshirt or say I'm going to go get one Gretta goes right to her drawer and gets one too! Even if it means wearing it over her pj's!

Happy Thanksgiving! We'll update with more pictures after tomorrow!

Oh baby....

Gretta and I went to a baby shower this weekend, for my cousins Beth and Laura.

This is Lina Kristine born to Beth and Luke on November 6th!

Here is Gretta with Great-Grandma Glady.....giving the baby doll kisses.

Uncle Scott entertained Emma and Gretta with National Geographic and a weather book!

Gretta having "tea." She was so careful with the real teacup, I was very impressed.

It was a fun shower and we can't wait to see if Laura and Matt have a boy or girl in the next 6 weeks or so!

Hunting weekend

We went up to my parents this weekend and Josh went hunting with his friend Kirk on his parents' land, Josh was the only one in the party who got a deer! My dad hunted on his own land and also got a deer so it was pretty good hunting.

Wearing Grandma Peg's visor.

Luckily my parents no longer have to rake their whole yard, they just have to rake away from things like the rock gardens that they can't get to with the riding mower/vacuum!

Gretta was happy to help!

That's a lot of leaves.

We had to make a big pile and jump in it of course!

The girls had fun outside, painting, making white chili and playing with all my old dolls and toys and dressing up.

Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween to You!

This was Gretta's first Halloween where she was actually able to walk around and trick or treat, she LOVED it! She loved her costume too, we were pretty surprised.

Little Red Riding Hood, wants her hood on!

Look at me!

All ready to go

What a haul!

Figured out getting up on the stool gets her closer to candy.

Mmmmmm.....

Yea!! This is a fun holiday!

Comfy cozy aftermath

All cuddled up with her Cabbage Patch Doll, Janice.
She got her first doll from Seth and Kim (thank you!) last Christmas and we finally broke her out of the box! She has been having quite a fun time cuddling her, giving hugs, kissing her and feeding her.
