11 months old and a trip to the beach

We have visitors! Jess's parents are here for a few more days and we headed down to Krabi last weekend to enjoy the beaches. We stayed on Railay Beach and could only get there by long tail boat. It was hot, but gorgeous and we had lots of fun! We went out on sea kayaks and out on a day trip to the Phi Phi Islands. We also got to just hang out and relax by the pool and on the beach.

Covering her ears, the long tail boat was loud!

Out on a day trip to the Phi Phi Islands.

Thanks for this outfit, from our friend Laura, it kept her cool!

Proving to be like her mom, she did not like the ocean and preferred the pool!

She didn't particularly like the sand, the first time we took her to a beach last summer she seemed to like it, this time she didn't like it at all! Anytime it touched her feet or hands she would fuss.

Had to show off her flip flops from our friend, the captain, Kirk!

Goodbye beaches.....

We celebrated Steve's birthday yesterday with a nice dinner at an Italian restaurant. Peg and Steve are on a day trip to the River Kwai, hopefully having a good time! Peg is getting her elephant ride that she promised she wouldn't leave Thailand without.

Today we are celebrating Gretta's 11th month of life! Wow.

She likes to direct things.....she is the boss after all.

We noticed at the beach her two front teeth are starting to come in! You can barely see because she likes to stick out those bottom ones!

So grown up!

Bread.

Decided we needed to do something entertaining this weekend, so we made bread!

Not just your average bread.......

Potato, sour cream and chive bread!

It turned out delicious!

Too bad this isn't smellablog.

Also delicious.......the plum mango, a new fruit we tried. It is pretty much what the name says....part plum (the skin, size, taste and texture), part mango (the taste, shape and color), all good.

Gretta wanted to share.....

The mini-almost-Heisman

She quickly realized she could eat it and proceeded to do so, all by herself!

As we like to say, yum, yum in the tum, tum.

Giving "kisses" or licks is more like it.

Pasketti

Last weekend Josh had a 3 day weekend, there was a holiday on Monday.

So he made us a delicious snowfish, asparagus and red curry dish....

and he got a much needed haircut!

Gretta thought she could fill his shoes

So we went to his work this week!

In the taxi on the way to Josh's office.

Decorations outside for the lantern festival.

Gretta enjoying her first spaghetti dinner or pasketti as she might someday call it. Thanks to the bib from our friends Abby and Nick, her face was the only thing that got messy!

10 months old

Pondering the thought....

Showing her sassy side in her outfit from Grandma Rachel and Grandpa Fred.

She likes to flap her arms alternately, especially to music.

What it would be like to have twins.

Contemplations.....

Gretta is going to be 10 months old this week, so I contemplated if I should post these pictures, because we usually post pictures when she turns another month old.....but she has just been so cute and silly lately I just couldn't resist posting some. Plus, she has so many cute outfits which....(side note) I may have gotten a little flack for packing them ALL, so I better make sure she wears them and that there are pictures to show them off! Anyway, maybe we'll just try and go easy and not take as many pictures on the actual 10 months old day.....

Sweater dress from Beau and Jess.

Take that "Gap Babies", you got nothing on me!

I'm proud off these teeth I'm growing and I'll show you just how proud.

WaaHaaHaa!

I love it so much I'll do a tongue roll.

I'll get it myself if I have to.

Mmmmhmmmmm....you KNOW it!

I've got your lens cap.....and I'm not giving it up, so just take more pictures already.

Perhaps a future in speed skating......
