24 Hours

That is how long it took to sell our house! Which explains the whirlwind of a week last week and I know what you really want is new pictures and here are some......of the house! Now that we don't have house stuff to do I might have some time to get some newer ones of Gretta to share since we all know that's really what you want to see. We have not found a new house yet, so we will probably be moving in with Meghan and Joel for a while because we will be closing on the sale of our house on August 31 if all goes smoothly.....we'll keep you updated!

Basement family room

We'll miss the house, there are lots of memories for sure, but it will be so much fun to be in a new house with some more room and
what we're most looking forward to is a bigger kitchen and a place to sit down and eat!

Projects and cabin

Josh has been in Bangkok the last couple of weeks and I have been pretty busy working on house projects whenever Gretta is sleeping. So that has meant not a lot of time taking pictures or updating this blog. I won't even bore you with the list of things I've been working on. That brings us to the big news of why we're doing so many house projects.........We're going to put our house up for sale and see what happens. We've been wanting a bigger house for a while now so we figured it's worth a try.

However, this past weekend I took a break and went up to my parents cabin with Gretta, my parents and both my grandmas.....it wasn't great weather, but we had a nice time hearing stories about the "old days", playing cards, eating lots of good food and going for walks.

Playing on the steps with Great-Grandma Glady and Great-Grandma Lil

On the boat, thought it was a cute/funny pose

We also stopped by my Aunt Julie and Uncle Nate's house on our way back home and Gretta got to play and take a ride with Sarah, who is my 5-year-old cousin, not sure what that makes the two of them to eachother though.

Josh gets home Saturday and we are really looking forward to seeing him a
gain!
It was our 3 year anniversary on Tuesday and our first anniversary apart. We will have to celebrate when he gets home. He did send me some beautiful flowers that are seen all over Thailand so he sent a little piece of where he was. Thanks Honey!!

Summer's going fast

Got into the baggies....she loves to unpack things or empty things.

They got revenge by sticking to her feet.

Bath time

She decided to dunk herself the other night by putting her face down in the water, she loved it and kept doing it, which is how I caught a picture of it.

On her way to water the plants

Little gardener, she's getting very good at imitating.

Oops....little dirt in the mouth

Having so much fun in her dress from Dave and Sarah, so CUTE!

Congratulations Tom and Laura!

In my catch up post I forgot to mention we were also at Tom and Laura's wedding before we spent a week up north. Of course they probably deserve their own post anyway.....

I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked because I was also a bridesmaid, but here are a couple. Luckily they had a photobooth at the wedding because that is the only picture we have of Josh and I! It was a busy, but GORGEOUS day for their outdoor wedding and we had so much fun, it was the first baby-free night for us as well! Grandma Rachel and Grandpa Fred took Gretta up north with them since they were going up a day earlier than us.

Uncle Seth and Kim came and spent the night 4th of July

We made a trip to the park

We also decided to tackle another house project.....our kitchen, BEFORE

Old sink, looks pretty clean here actually....but it was rather gross, old and HEAVY cast iron

Old counters, white with gold flecks.

Gretta helped with the demolition utilizing the sledgehammer

and also helped Josh with the plumbing, she comes in handy

Ahhhhh......the new sink and faucet, so purdy.

AFTER, the new sink and countertop
