Weekend of goodness

We decorated our pumpkins this past weekend, and thought painting would be more fun for the girls. They had a blast!

Then on Sunday we headed into the city! It was Fleet Week and America's Cup so lots of exciting action going on!

Lots of planes doing crazy tricks!

The big sailboat race, Oracle the American team won this one!

Gretta started today and had so much fun! She has been wearing her shoes all around the house, even wanted to sleep in them last night!

Goodbye to the little Saturn...my first baby, who is now going on 13 years old, was sold today to a nice college student who will hopefully treat her well!

Hello fall! Now that it has been in the 70s the last couple days and the leaves are a changin', its that wonderful time of the year!

Days go by

Well September is just movin' right along now isn't it? We've been busy with school, parks and even a few last trips to the pool, which closes this weekend. Fall hasn't hit here quite yet....except at night when it turns cool and is dark by 7:30.

I literally just took pictures and didn't say a word. I think it was the easiest "session" ever! 

Growing up

And here's Maggie, same age as Gretta was with the same outfit, can't believe how big they are getting!

The Great Gatsby

Josh and I went to a neighborhood 1920s Gatsby style party and the girls got their first non-friend, non-family babysitter!

After a picnic dinner and walk to the "speakeasy" we played a little roulette and really enjoyed the night out!

And it was my birthday this week so we enjoyed a night out at a great local restaurant!

More weekend and School!

So we headed to the zoo this weekend for a little more birthday/everyone fun!

All four of the tigers were up and about!

Then we headed to a park, had to a get one picture with just the birthday girl!

And then the whole fam of course.

Monday we went down to Santa Cruz.

Proof sometimes you don't need a zoo to see cool animals!

The barking was crazy! We ate lunch right above these guys. The clam chowder and fish and chips were soooo YUMMY! Nice way to end the long weekend.

Then it was the first day of school for this girl. Pre-K this year! Yikes!!

And of course she insisted one picture with Maggie, who actually thought she should go to school too. Since she's 2 ya know! Oh these girls, how we love them so!
