Joshua Tree 3.0

As you may recall, we went to Joshua Tree way back when I was pregnant with Maggie.

Not the exact same backdrop, but close enough. Had to recreate the pic now that she was out of my belly. When we were standing there she said she wanted to go back in my belly where it was warm. 

Two kids later we returned and met our friends Dave, Sarah and their little guy Tanner and had so much fun!

Gretta was actually all for posing for pictures so we got quite a few of her!

Maggie was a little less enthusiastic, but we got some anyway!

Not planned, but they sure were cute in their matching pi's! 

We rented a house and it was so nice to have the space, make all our meals and put the kids to bed and still be able to visit!

Torsten, 10 months

Better late than never they say! We went down to Joshua Tree to meet some friends this past weekend and left on Friday so I didn't get pictures taken on the exact day Torsten turned 10 months. That's not to say I didn't take a picture of him that day, it just wasn't his "official" 10 month photo shoot that I usually get done when the month turns. So today, while the girls were at school, we got a few more pictures taken and now I can call it done. 

Here's the one I took on the 14th.

This is how he felt most of the time about getting pictures taken....."I'm outta here!"

February kick off

We went into San Francisco a couple weekends ago to show the sites to Josh's coworker here from Australia. We went to the overlook of the city and bridge and then down to Pier 39 and enjoyed some seafood. It was a little chilly, but a clear day so it was great for seeing the city! 

First time we've had all the kids to see the Golden Gate. Maggie was not impressed.

MN representing. Thanks Abby for this t-shirt that Gretta has been wearing for 2 years now. I can't believe it still fits! Also, if you haven't noticed by now, when she likes something she wears it. Til. It. Dies. This one is actually holding up well though and maybe Maggie will get to wear it. Unlike a certain striped sundress......

And can't forget about our random photos of just every day life. Here's Maggie falling asleep with her popcorn in her lap, not for the first time.

We also had our first guests of the year! Grandma Rachel and Grandpa Fred made it out here and we had a fantastic time in Yosemite and just hanging out at home. All the kids got to enjoy some one on one time with the grandparents and they enjoyed every minute of it!

Maggie was in the pack with Josh so she didn't want to get out. Realized just now editing that I don't have any pics with all the kids and Grandma and Grandpa. Darn it!

Little of this, little of that

So here is a little hodgepodge of what we've been up to! Not a whole lot going on but I of course don't go too long without snapping some random pictures of what we're up to!

We've had some sick kiddos again lately so we've been hanging out at home, bejeweling and bedazzling thanks to Meghan and Joel.

Also, when sick we partake in some movie time. Not sure why the laundry baskets were involved, but felt the need to capture the moment for laughs when they're older!

And when we're feeling better we head to the park!

And snuggles, lots of snuggles.

Throw in some capes made by Grandma Rachel and we can make the most out of any day!

We also got out for a little hike this past weekend.

And this one. Well, Gretta took this, with my phone. So I can't take credit, but I can still show it off! 

Torsten, 9 months

Our sweet boy is now 9 months old! We've had him in our arms as long as he was in my belly. Hard to believe!

He's pretty pumped about it.

Christmas 2013

We made it through another Christmas with much joy, love and toys. It was fun having another first Christmas to celebrate, with Torsten being 8 months and so mobile you forget that there are still firsts left! He also got 2 teeth over the last 2 weeks and 2 more are showing themselves right now. So lots going on for him! It was so much fun watching all the kids enjoy the holidays, both girls were very aware of what was going on and how it all goes.  So here is another video of pictures……I feel like I didn't take as many as usual, but that kind of happens with how busy the holidays are! Trying to just take it all in and watch with my eyes and not the camera all the time too. :)
