Here and there and everywhere

Ok, hard drive hiccup is sort of solved, got a new one (I use an external drive for all my pictures) and trying to get stuff transferred and figured out in my photo software. I have Easter pictures somewhere, but for now you get a bunch of randomness!

More house updates! Here's the house when we first bought it....

We had painted some window trim and the front door a while back and here we started painting the garage trim and front columns.

And finally we painted the garage doors and took out the window design things on the garage windows.

Stay tuned.....we're working on a big yard project!! Hopefully will be completed sometime this summer. So far we've taken out most of our deck in the back with plans for some more grass and a cement patio for a more user friendly backyard. It was all different levels, different decks and some asphalt back there before. Also going to get those crop circles gone from the front soon too! Yippee!

Moving on to the cute stuff....
Grandma Peggy was here and we took a trip up to Mendocino and the Redwoods.

Torsten could have done this all. day. long.

Have a great Tuesday!!

Happy 1st Birthday Torsten!

WOW. So its been a while and we're past the birthdays, spring break, Easter and all our visitors have left and we have no others planned to come for the near future. Had a little hard drive hiccup as well, but I think all is well now, so definitely time for some catching up! We'll start with Torsten's 1st birthday. Still can't believe a whole year has flown past.....

This was the best we got for a candle picture apparently.....oops!

He was not afraid of digging into his cupcake at all!

Its so much fun opening presents, especially with extra helpers!

To our happy little bear cub, we love you so much! You light up every day for all of us and we can't imagine what life would be like without you! We know there are many more fun years ahead and we can't wait to spend them with you watching you grow!

Happy 6th Birthday, Gretta!!

Before the birthday pics just have to mention we had a visitor the end of March, my friend Abby whom I've known since I was Gretta's age....(oh no that doesn't make us feel old at all) it was a grand visit and we had lots of just us girls time, family time, she got to enjoy the SUN away from MN and see where we live (and hopefully be convinced to move, wink, wink) such fun!

She also took some family pictures of us and I haven't had time to go through them all but here were a couple fun ones!

Also, there was a father/daughter hoedown at Gretta's school the end of March and Josh and her had a fabulous time!

Now on to the festivities of a 6 year old girl and her first friends party......

Cupcake decorating trays for each of the girls was a hit!

Hula hoops and jump ropes kept them busy too!

The 3 cutest hula hoopers!

Cake pops were another fun treat! (this was the only picture I apparently took....)

Skyping with Grandma and Grandpa while opening fun office presents!

Our little Gretta, we love you oh so much!! Can't believe its been 6 whole years we've had you in our lives and how fast its gone. You make each day a happy one. We've loved watching you grow so much and become such a fabulous big sister and wonderful daughter. We're enjoying watching you learn so much this year as a big kindergartner and we can't wait to see what else life has in store for you....XOXO!!

Visiting

We've had a few visitors over the past couple weeks. First up though we have the jump rope queen Miss Gretta.

Our first visitors of the month were Auntie Meghan and Uncle Joel from MN! They enjoyed a week here taking in the sites of Point Reyes, Berkeley, Napa, Yosemite and out about around our house.

Thanks for the great visit guys, miss you already!

Torsten, 11 months

Ok, we're getting closer to that one year mark by the day! Can't believe it. Its going way, way too fast. He is still just the happiest little guy. Crawling and walking around furniture still, has let go and taken a couple steps here and there, but for how early he was doing things we thought he'd be walking and running around by now. Not going to lie, its more than ok that he's not!

He loves chasing his sisters and balls. He sleeps pretty good most nights. He is still the noisiest, most demanding eater we've ever seen and we are just enjoying it all.
