Finally!

I think we are on the mend, especially Gretta, she is doing much better!


She woke up and immediately went to put on her boots this morning.


Time for breakfast!


We had to continue with the boots when we were getting dressed....

Also I gave her a haircut last week, her first REAL haircut, probably about a couple of inches off the back! We think it makes her look so much older.....can't believe she'll be 2 next week!!

Sick

We have been hanging out with some stuff this week that isn't fun.





Gretta caught a little of what I've had for the last week and half. Though, hers started out as croup and we had to go to the dr. and they gave her a steroid shot since her breathing was really labored even when completely calm, it really helped and so.....


today turned into a faucet coming out of her nose, she has been making the most of it though, having fun with snot bubbles....


Today we felt a little better and went for a walk.


Gretta has been a real trooper, lots of cuddle time on the couch and some sleepless nights but I think we're on our way to better days! So that's what we've been busy with this week.

Josh also built us some shelves in the basement so we could start organizing to prepare for...

Ice is one of Gretta's favorite things.....and she got a whole lake of it this weekend! The excitement in her face was so priceless!

Headed up to Duluth for a beautiful weekend of some hiking, ice fishing and seeing friends.

He came early, 16 days to be exact! Benjamin William was born February 24 at 12:59 a.m.

Snow! Shoes!

I sometimes will give Gretta change to put in her bank. Well one day she was playing with my purses (as usual) and lo and behold some change was in one of them, she goes running for her bank and starts filling it! She then started scrounging through the other purses in our closet hoping for more!


We went snowshoeing last weekend out at Baker Park with our friends Dave, Sarah and their dog, Lucy. It was a gorgeous day and Gretta LOVED hanging out in the pack enjoying the outdoors.

What else is new?

My friend Abby is due with her first baby in March, I did some "belly" pics a couple weekends ago and think they turned out pretty cute.


It's a boy!


Also had a baby shower for her at our house this past weekend.




Gretta LOVES her veggies. She also has really taken off in the talking department. Snow and ski (we have been watching some Olympics and also went to the Vasaloppet this past weekend) are some new words, along with many others! It has been fun trying to figure out what she is saying and just hearing her version of some things is quite hilarious!


We watched Joel finish the Mora Classic Series with the Vasaloppet Ski Race, he completed the half marathon, bike race and canoe race over the past year and this was his last race to complete.
Way to go Joel!!

A couple of weeks ago we had a playdate with some of my cousins kids. Levi is the newest (December 29) and he broke the chain, it has always been that the first-born was a girl on the Paulson side! Left to right Levi, Gretta, Lina and Nora.






Gretta is 22 months old now and loves playing while looking at herself in the mirror.
