Fun fall weekend

We were at Dozinky Days down in New Prague for Gretta and Maggie's first time.

It was so much fun, saw some old cars and lots of people and got a taste of little cousin's dancing skills that they taught to Gretta.

 

Also went bowling for our friend Jess's (30th!!) birthday

Devin and Gretta got a little help with bowling.

Best of the Wurst! Last activity of the weekend (church festival) and Gretta had to try on Grandpa Fred's German hat.

Maggie got to meet her Great-Grandma Ellie.

While last weekend she met both her other Great-Grandmas....Glady and Lil. Imagine the genes she received from all these beautiful Great-Grandmas!

We took the wagon from Great-Grandma Ellie and loaded Maggie up for her first trip to the park.

Daddy daughter camping trip

Josh and Gretta went camping last week, it was her first time and she loved it! She got to sleep in a tent....

and go hiking with her new hiking shoes.

They also got to see some animals! She was a little afraid of a raccoon by their tent but liked the baby deer.

Gretta is adoring her little sister and wants to hold her all the time which resulted in them napping together the other day!

We welcomed another little girl 3 weeks early!

Margaret Rachel......we'll call her Maggie.

Josh's grandma Edna's middle name was Margaret and is Jess's mom's baptismal name and Rachel is after Josh's mom. (I am sure there is all sorts of grammatical mistakes with apostrophes in this sentence so excuse my english!)

We are so excited and happy to have another little girl in the family!

State Fair and Tubin'

Apparently it was a record-breaking crowd on Thursday when we went, but it sure didn't seem as crowded to us compared to some other years we've gone. The weather was absolutely perfect too, finally!!

Gretta was very observant this year....quiet and just wanting to sit back and take it all in.

We went with our friends Kirk and Melissa who then got engaged the next day!! CONGRATS!

Tractors of course are always fun.

That night we went out tubing with some friends and their 2 boys, we've gotten to go out with them a few times but this is the first time Gretta got to go tubing! She LOVED it and wanted "more" and "faster!"

She also enjoyed waving at us back in the boat.

Nesting has been on my mind lately so I broke out the sewing stuff......

Sewed some curtains

and cribskirt!

Josh did a beautiful job painting a couple weeks ago.

So now it is complete except for hanging a few more pictures once baby gets here.

Gretta's happy, so hopefully baby will be too!

and we're waiting.......just waiting.....some of us maybe not so patiently....
