Nesting and such

 

So don't think I've mentioned that the girls have been sharing a room since the summer so we won't have to really transition Maggie out of her room for the baby, which is great! However, I needed to nest so we've made some changes to the room! Here's the room before......

Here is the cribskirt we used for Gretta......

Add some ribbon and its ready for baby boy!

Also decided to spruce up our old glider chair.....

Its not perfect by any means but looks a little more updated!

Then I added a fun fabric to these navy curtains. So nesting continues over here and we've painted the room a light green, I'll show more when we get some things hung on the wall!

Off to a new "park" today. Really it was just an outdoor mall with a playground, some statues and ducks. The girls were entranced by the statues however, guess we haven't exposed them to many!

Then they had to show of their gymnastic skills!

Lots of fun! 

Low-Key

Lately life is just low-key, no real big adventures and not a lot of picture taking. I got to visit Gretta's school today while another preschool mom watched Maggie. I think both girls really enjoyed themselves! Gretta got mom to herself for a few hours and Maggie got to play at someone else's house all by herself! Have really been enjoying watching the girls play and take in all the hilarious, adorable things they are saying and doing! A bit of an announcement, Maggie is now potty trained, which comes in the nick of time and we're all pretty excited about that!  Also, watching the excitement grow between the girls for baby to come! They talk to and kiss the belly, ask what baby is doing and what he'll do when he comes out. Maggie asked one day if baby was playing with toys in there! Gretta enjoys feeling baby kick, talking about names and all the things they will do when he finally comes. Kisses, cuddles and holding are high on the list. She has also offered to change diapers! Anyway, just trying to drink it all up before life becomes a little more full......

Gretta had to change her headband one day to one that had "more sparkle"

I have a feeling this will be a common sight in a couple months.....

This was on my phone, so sorry for quality but it was just so funny how she was trying to balance the book on her knees, then she did this all on her own.....

Ah-ha moment of getting a chair to put her legs on!

They are just so loving to eachother and I really hope that continues in years to come and that they'll extend that love to little brother!

9 weeks

Well we've been a little busy! The girls were sick, I was sick, Josh was on a trip. Now that we only have 9 weeks (give or take) left until baby is here we're I'm in full nesting mode! Therefore, some sewing, painting and rearranging has been taking place! We'll give home updates soon, but thought we'd share a few photos of girls and a little preview of some belly pics, more of those to come too!

Scooter rides

Gretta's favorite dress, needed some pictures before it disintegrates. Haha! I believe its a size 3 and ends up being worn pretty much every day at some point.
