First day of preschool...and other things

Here is Maggie on her first day of preschool! 

We're a couple of weeks into both the girls being at school now and its going great for both of them, they love their teachers, their schools and their new friends/old friends!

Torsten is enjoying the daily walks to school and some alone time with mommy!!

Getting to play with anything he wants! He does get dressed too....I guess these 2 pictures just happened to be in his pj's.

The girls helped me paint the last room in our house that was the cream/yellow color so the guest room is complete now! YAY!

Front landscaping is done!

We LOVE it! Josh, the kids and I picked out plants and then Josh put it all in and it looks fabulous!

We've had some HOT weather here, but its cool at night and starting to cool a little bit during the day, so I proclaimed it is officially fall. :)

Maggie turns 4

Maggie turned 4 last weekend and we had a great day of just hanging out and doing what Maggie wanted to do which was going to the pool, where she also wanted a picnic sushi supper, then of course presents and CAKE!

She got lots of fun presents, books, a princess tent, clothes, a scooter and dr. kit. 

She got some cute clothes and accessories from Grandma Rachel and Grandpa Fred and had to put the whole ensemble on and model!

First day of FIRST GRADE!

This young lady is officially a first grader and has loved the first few days so far!

No, she didn't join a gang, this was just the best I could get of her showing a #1

It's going to be a fun year!

Now summer's really almost over!

Remember all those pictures I was trying to catch up on from waaaaay back in December? FINALLY got them all edited and uploaded online and then apparently I kind of stopped taking pictures. Haha! Just kidding, I'd never stop taking pictures, but definitely haven't been taking many. We've just been enjoying our last days of summer! Gretta starts school MONDAY as a big first grader! So I'm sure I'll have some a million pictures of that. In the meantime here are a few random things we've done. 

One big thing that happened around here was that the yard has gotten quite a new look!

The good 'ol before shot.....we've always disliked those circles, or crop circles as I fondly dubbed them.

Then this happened....oh no! OH YES!

Next came this.

All of it was very entertaining for these 3!

They also poured a nice big patio out back, so soon I will have some more finished pictures of both spaces!

We did some guinea pig-sitting for friends and Torsten was fascinated!

Some one on one time with Maggie while Torsten was sleeping and Gretta was at camp. Both girls got to enjoy some camp time these last few weeks. Gretta had art camp and gymnastics camp and Maggie had a storybook camp. They both LOVED it!

We also took a little trip to Sausalito, walked around and had some lunch and then this happened....ICE CREAM. So good!

Then the kids got some little virus/colds and things like this happened.

It didn't keep them down for long though.

We got to make it out to movies in the park and see Rio, very cute!

Back into the mischief 

We got Josh a hammock for his birthday and the kids have been LOVING it!

Especially the girls who think its fun to enjoy breakfast, lunch, snacks....or anything in there.

Finally, I got brave and gave all 3 kids a haircut, I have cut the girls' many times before, but decided to give Torsten's a try too and it went well! Now they're all looking pretty darn good and not as scraggly.

Lazy days

Well we've been sprinkling...
