5 months

Here we go again, another month gone! Torsten is now 5 months old and is still such a happy baby, sleeping awesome, (well except for this week as he's had a bit of a cold) rolling over more and more from back to front and front to back, grabbing everything, looking pretty interested in food other than milk and is just such a fun guy to have around!

He weighed in at 15 lbs last week and is quite the talker if you get him going on a story. He also, as you may have noticed, has lost quite a bit of hair! It seems to be growing back in dark so we'll see in a few months or so what happens! We were pretty surprised when he started losing it since he was born with so much!

Like, Totally!

Before I reveal some pictures from our 80's prom party last weekend, I bring to you pictures of some work we've done on the front of our house......you may remember what it looked like before:
Nothing wrong with it, just a little blah!

Here's after we stripped the door and started painting the window trim.

The color is New Brick. LOVE!

Gretta must be listening to our other plans.....she drew this picture and even wrote NO by herself to the circles in front! That's one of the things we would like to do, take out the big "crop circles" as I call them and put in a curved sidewalk, maybe add some stone to our pillars and some new plants with some color as well! Long term plans!

And here we are in all our glory....

First night out with a babysitter for all the kids, they had a great time!

And so did we!

We brought the 80's home to share too!

Workin' on his skills....

Do you like Maggie's latest "cheesy" smile? It's in every picture! Haha!

Maggie's First Day of Preschool

As mentioned in Gretta's first day post, we went for back to school outfits and Maggie was surprising, she marched right up to this shirt and pants and said this one! Unlike Gretta who took a little longer to find "the most pretty" thing to wear.

Her first Jamba Juice of her very own!

But just like big sister we had a change of outfit plans when it came to the day of preschool.

Since she was so familiar with the preschool since Gretta went there, Maggie was more than happy to tell us to leave so she could have fun all on her own! She had a fabulous time!

Maggie is 3!

Happy Birthday to our little Maggie, she's growing up so fast!!

We went to the zoo to celebrate!

It was Torsten's first trip and although he doesn't look amused, he enjoyed it!

Riding the cars, she was tall enough this time!

And the plane.

She is fascinated with flashlights so we got her her very own.

And a t-ball set!

She started hitting 'em outta the park right away! She also received many other fun presents from Grandma's and Grandpa's pjs, clothes and a unicorn pillow pet, and a mermaid Dora from auntie and uncle that we got to test out in the bathtub last night!

Big sister Gretta had to give it a try too!

Her request was blueberry cupcakes with jelly beans on top. We aim to please around here on birthdays so thats what she got!

Happy Birthday Dear Maggie! What a wonderful year it has been. You've grown and learned so much, you've learned to be a great big sister as well as continuing to be a great little sister!  You're so helpful and kind, while maintaining that twinkle of mischief in your eyes! We can't wait to see how much more happens this year when you start preschool! We love you!

Kindergarten

The night before Gretta's first day of kindergarten, the girls and I went out on a date so they could each get a new outfit for their first day of school. (Maggie starts preschool next week!) They didn't want to go separately, so nice to see sister love going strong! So here we were on our way!

Here is Gretta's pick. A lovely grey t-shirt with sparkly rainbow hearts and very fashionable purple skirt with purple pants attached. I will post Maggie's choice when I post about her first day of preschool!

Little Jamba Juice treat....

The day came! Gretta's first day of kindergarten was yesterday and it was a nervous, not-liking-the-attention kind of day. So we didn't get a whole lot for pictures before she was sent off into her classroom, but she was much happier afterwards and today went much smoother. I think all the people and daddy being home to see her off on her first day just gave her too many butterflies in the stomach, she even admitted to us later yesterday that she got a little sick in the bathroom.....but "held it in until she made it there". Good job, poor little gal! She really likes her teacher and is even sharing her day with us when we ask questions!

She allowed this one.....and yes even though we got a new outfit the night before and laid it out, there had to be minor changes on the day of.

Away she goes!

And the walk home after!
