Hey September

Hey September, where'd ya go?! We've been busy! Grandma Peggy came for a visit, we went on a little trip, school days are in full swing, Ms. Zoe is making mischief and keeping me on my toes.....some of the highlights.

Having to stop for rests on our hike in Mammoth Lakes

Then running

Devils Postpile

More rest

Strike a pose

Such fun adventures!

This girl and her music box!

She loves it so and dances and claps.

Hot Havana Nights for our neighborhood progressive party

And some zoo time, Torsten was big enough for rides and absolutely loved it!

Daddy/Maggie nap

Gretta's going through a glasses phase....

Maggie and her tape

Just trying to keep Zoe contained and Torsten felt he should be too.

All hail Queen Zoe

I'm going to just take a little nap just like this.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

One leg up is how she rolls in the high chair, tomorrow she turns 10 months...so I'll be back with some more pictures.

Maggie is 5!

So yea, I haven't been blogging as much as I'd like. Mostly because we have 4 kids, life is just busy. But I've also put a few more things on my plate than usual this year too. I'm room parent for Gretta's class and I got elected co-president of our neighborhood moms group. So its extra things going on especially right now at the beginning of the school year and beginning of the new year in the moms group. I'm hoping that it will die down soon and we'll get into the regular groove of life and then I can try and get caught up with things on here. As usual I'm also behind on editing pictures and haven't even gotten to the 2nd part of our trip to MN this summer. We also went on a little trip over Labor Day weekend. So pictures, pictures, pictures.

Here are a few random ones:
The girls had a lemonade stand and made a nice little profit!

The baby.

T and his tea cup.

And, it was a certain girls birthday a couple weeks ago and we had lots of fun celebrating 5 for Ms. Maggie! I may go backwards and flashback to the summer trip just to have it in the memory bank.

I surprised her with some balloons after school.

Cherry cake with cherry frosting and 5 candles with 5 cherries and a 5 candle. We got 5 covered.

First day of school

The big day arrived. The girls have now completed 3 days of school, they are loving it and eager to go and tell us all about it at the end of the day!

Gretta, our expert school goer, headed for the big 2nd grade this year!

She says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up, a student teacher, and change her name to Amy. (She has a student teacher in her class this year)

Maggie, our new kindergartener!

She also says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

And away we go!

Maggie heading into class.

Didn't even look back!

Gretta's teacher greets them each day by shaking their hands and saying good morning by name.

Zoe, 9 Months

Well we've reached the age where Zoe has been out in the world with us just as long as she was in my belly. Crazy!! She decided that this was also the day she should take some steps by herself, which I don't think is a great idea at 9 months.

The full teeth, nose scrunch face and clapping....a little scary.

She started letting go of things recently and then apparently in celebration took her first steps on the day she turned 9 months.

And this sweater is from when I was little!!

Zoe, 8 months

Here she is....new teeth, new skills, new adventures!

If you look closely you'll notice her new top teeth, not the typical front teeth.....but rather the ones next to the front teeth are coming in first so she's rather vampirish, however, its not the eye teeth so not full vampire.

Standing and walking around furniture, climbing stairs and crawling to new adventures.....just a few of her new skills in the last month!
